more / most を使う語

特に、interesting、expensive、difficult、importantのような語では、moreやmostを使うのが自然です。
-er / -est を使う語
短い形容詞では、通常moreやmostではなく、語尾に-erや-estを付けます。

- small → smaller → the smallest
また、2音節の形容詞でも、-yで終わる語は-er、-estにすることが多くあります。

ただし、2音節語には揺れがあるものもあります。迷った場合は辞書で確認すると確実です。
よくある間違い
短い形容詞にmoreやmostを付けてしまう間違いがあります。

一方、長い形容詞に-erや-estを付けるのも不自然です。
